Investing in Trustworthy and Reliable Service Providers
For this post I'm answering the question I get asked a lot. How do I find other trustworthy and reliable service providers - who do you recommend?
I don't vouch for or endorse anyone specifically unless I've experienced their work, and then can vouch for them from there. I'm not a homeowner myself yet, so I rarely hire out plumbers, electricians, stone/concrete masons, irrigation contractors, and landscape contractors.
Here is what you can do to help ensure you are getting the best value from your other service providers, and what you want to look for when reviewing a proposal, work agreement, and terms of service.
-- Make sure whoever you are interviewing to hire can provide you with a list of references you can contact that can vouch for them. They should be able to back up the quality of their work and service, and answer any questions or concerns you have up front before paying them a penny.
You can also weed out vendors by hype and buzz words, or anything that is not backed up by action. This type of nonsense is often a cover, used for bait and switch. Anyone you hire should always do what they say they are going to do/what you agreed on unless communicated otherwise, and in the rare case they make a mistake they take responsibility for it.

I also humbly invite you to consider what sets me apart, and the value you can expect me to provide when you choose me as your service provider and craftsman. I've been developing and delivering my work and service this way for almost 8 years now in the Rogue Valley. This has allowed me to set professional standards that make working with me different, and hopefully at the top of your list.
-- Reliability. I take pride in being some you can count on, building a relationship with you, doing things right, and finishing what I start.
-- Attention to detail and committed work ethic.
-- I'm dedicated to increasing and maintaining the value, health, and beauty of your land without the use of toxic chemicals, blowers, mowers, and weed eaters.
-- Always on time and on budget unless communicated otherwise. You will never get a surprise bill ever. If our agreement says the project is $2,500 it's $2,500 unless you want to make changes or add on work to the project. In that case, I'll confirm what you want and let you know what the additional cost or billing rate will be before moving forward.
Unfortunately, many people have been disrespected and left with broken agreements made by other vendors. This is often the norm, and I'm proud my reputation doesn't have anything to do with these disrespectful and unprofessional dealings. I'm dedicated to making your world a better place one project and relationship at a time. I love what I do, and I am invested in you and your garden.
